TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball team completed the sweep of Colorado Northwestern Saturday 8-4 and 11-0, holding on to the first place standing in the Scenic West Athletic Conference race by three games.
The Golden Eagles trailed CNCC 4-3 heading into the bottom of the third inning of game one before they scored three to take the lead they never surrendered.Â
Hayden Leatham finished the game 2-for-2 with two RBI and a home run.
Shawn Grandmont was 3-for-4 with two doubles and
Travis Bohall was 2-for-2.
On the mound,
Boden Mills earned the win, going 2.2 innings, giving up no runs on two hits.
Game two was all CSI. The Golden Eagles scored enough runs to shorten the nine inning game to five innings in the run rule.Â
Colin Gordon finished the game 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBI.
Nolan Walker was 1-for-1 with a triple and two RBI, while
Brett Resch was 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Trent Bixby earned the win, giving up two hits in his four innings of work. He had four strikeouts.
CSI improves to 38-8 overall and 22-6 in league play. The Golden Eagles host USU Eastern Friday and Saturday.
