TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 16th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Baseball team ended up on the winning end of two games Friday, beating 12th-ranked College of Southern Nevada 4-3 and 7-4 in a Scenic West Athletic Conference clash of two teams that started the day tied atop the standings.
Dylan Steen was dominating in the first game for the Golden Eagles. The Sophomore pitcher threw all seven innings for the win, giving up just four hits and two earned runs with five strikeouts.
At the plate,
Colin Gordon was 2-for-3 with a triple.
In the second game
Mason Foltz earned the win on the mound, going five innings and giving up two earned runs on two hits with three strikeouts.
Jaden Jensen threw 3.1 innings of shutout ball, giving up five hits with four strikeouts and
Charlie Fry closed the game for the save, pitching the last two outs with no hits and one strikeouts.
Shawn Grandmont was 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI.
The Golden Eagles, now 27-5 overall and 11-3 in conference play, host Southern Nevada again Saturday for a doubleheader starting at noon.
