TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 11th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball team beat USU Eastern 9-7 and 8-0 Saturday to complete the four-win series.
The Golden Eagles trailed 7-5 going into the bottom of the sixth in game one.
Kassidie Brooks led off the inning with a single.
Siearrah Anderson drove Brooks in with a single.
Hannah Peterson's triple plated Anderson and then
Hailey Hicks hit her fourth home run of the weeked to give CSI the final 9-7 margin.
Brooks finished the game 2-for-3 with a home run. Hicks was 3-for-3.
Nicole Renner also hit a home run, going 2-for-4.
Stefani Zimmerman entered the game in top of the 7th and sat them down in order with three strikeouts to earn the save.
She started game two and continued to dominate the USUEÂ hitters. She earned the win, going four innings and giving up just one hit with six strikeouts.
Kamryn Grover pitched the final inning, giving up one hit with one strikeout.
At the plate, Hicks added another home run. For the weekend, the sophomore hit five home runs. She was 2-for-3 with two RBI in game two.
Tristin Evans, who hit three home runs Friday, went 2-for-2 with another home run.
Anjalee Batchelor hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the fifth to end the game in the run rule.
