TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 18th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Baseball team added two more wins Saturday, beating Prairie Baseball Academy 5-1 and 5-1.
The Golden Eagles completed the weekend sweep and improved to 16-4 overall.
Game one was a pitcher's dual with CSI scoring one run in the first inning off a
Travis Bohall single and a
Hayden Leatham sac fly. Neither team scored again until the seventh when the Golden Eagles added a run to go up 2-0. Prairie answered with a run in the eighth but CSI plated three more runs in the bottom half to pull away.
Leatham finished the game 2-for-2 with two RBI and a double. Bohall was 2-for-4 with two RBI.Â
Colton Westfall earned the win on the mound, going 7.1 innings and giving up just one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts.
Game two was all CSI early as the Golden Eagles scored one in the first, two in the second and added one in the third and fifth.Â
Bohall stayed hot at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI and a double.
Nolan Walker finished 2-for-3 with a double and
Cooper Moon was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Trent Bixby got the win, going 4.2 innings and giving up just four hits and no runs with three strikeouts.
CSI hosts Scenic West Athletic Conference opponent Colorado Northwestern Friday and Saturday.
