CSI Baseball wins wild one to go 4-0 on the weekend

ST. GEORGE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho and Northeastern JC were knotted at 3 runs apiece heading into the seventh inning. By the time the game ended, the Golden Eagles had pulled out the 8-7 victory Saturday.
Northeastern scored a run in the seventh and three in the eighth and looked poised to take its only win off CSI on the weekend. But the Golden Eagles rallied in the bottom of the eighth with five runs and held Northeastern scoreless in the ninth to pull off the comeback.
Ryke Erickson started the inning with a single before Travis Bohall and Nick Dolce loaded the bases on walks. After a CSI strikeout, Hayden Leatham knocked a 2-RBI double to start the scoring. CSI had another strikeout before Cannon Secrist had a 2-RBI single. After advancing on an error, Brett Resch singled Secrist in to give the Golden Eagles the 8-7 lead they never relinquished.
Charlie Fry entered the game in the top of the ninth and record three outs to left field sandwiched around a single to end the game and earn the save.
Leatham finished 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBI and Secrist was 3-for-3 with three RBI.
Jaden Jensen earned the win on the mound, pitching .67 innings and giving up one hit and no runs.
CSI, now 10-2 overall, hosts Dawson CC this coming weekend.
