LAS Vegas, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team struggled to get shots to fall Thursday in the opening day of the Las Vegas Tournament, losing to Southern Utah All-Stars 71-64.
The Golden Eagles shot just 34 percent from the field, 27 percent from long range and 46 percent from the free-throw line.
Mallory Lapoole led CSI with 15 points. She added six rebounds. Other players scoring in double figures included
Brooke Haney with 12 and
Allie Thayne with 10. Leading the way on the boards was
Alison Chanhthala,
Nicole Heyn Suarez and
Bailey Hawkins, each with seven rebounds.
CSI, now 10-5, takes on Central Arizona Friday at 4 p.m. PST.
