TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 14th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team held Williston State to just 14 first-half points en route to a 104-54 win Friday in the opening night of the Coca Cola Invitational.
Every Golden Eagle scored in the contest, led by Mallory Lapoole's 15 points. She added five assists and two steals. Allie Thayne and Denajha Kie each posted 14 points. Kie added eight rebounds and three assists and Thayne had six rebounds.
A game after she finished with a triple-double, Nicole Suarez put together another strong performance for the Golden Eagles. She led the team in rebounds with 10 and had nine points. Ka'Maree Donald added seven points and seven rebounds for CSI.
For the game, the Golden Eagles shot 58 percent fom the field and forced Williston into 27 turnovers.
CSI, now 6-3 overall, hosts #18 Georgia Highlands at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
In the earlier game Salt Lake CC beat Georgia Highlands 79-63.
