TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 14th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team jumped out to a 48-27 halftime lead and rolled Friday in the opening night of the Idaho Central Credit Union Invitational, beating Dawson CC 84-67.
The Golden Eagles won the battle of the boards, out-rebounding Dawson 46-29 on the night. Leading the way for CSI was
Bailey Hawkins who finished with a double-double (14 points and 13 rebounds). She added four steals and two blocked shots.
Denajha Kie put together a complete game for the Golden Eagles, posting 14 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Alison Chanhthala finished with 11 points and three assists while
Petra Farkas and
Ka'Maree Donald each added 10 points for CSI.
The Golden Eagles, now 4-3 overall, hosts Minnesota State Community and Technical College Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Earlier Treasure Valley defeated Minnesota State 114-61.
