TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team beat Mesa CC 94-71 Saturday in the Hilex Poly Invitational, winning its fifth straight game of the year.
The Golden Eagles trailed by 10 points with 6:41 to play in the first half but
Coreyoun Rushin knocked down a 3-pointer shortly thereafter that ignited a 19-0 run that put CSI ahead to stay.
CSI had five players score in double figures led by
Jaxon Edelmayer's 17 points. Rushin,
Coleman Sparling and
Roberto Gittens each finished with 14 points and
David Walker added 13.
Rush posted a double-double for the Golden Eagles adding 11 rebounds. He also had three steals.
CSI, now 5-1 overall, hosts Treasure Valley CC Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. before traveling to Yuma, Ariz., to take on Chandler-Gilbert at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and Arizona Western College at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
