TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team swept Treasure Valley 25-10, 25-13, 25-14 Thursday in a non-conference matchup at home.
The Golden Eagles used a dominating block to set the tone of the match. Leading the way was
Alexis Mareko. The freshman middle blocker finished the match with seven blocks. She added eight kills with no hitting errors.
Payton Spoja and
Sacha Legros each tallied seven kills. Legros added nine digs and three blocks, while Spoja had five digs. Overall the Golden Eagles posted 12 team blocks to Treasure Valley's three. CSI forced the Chukars into a -.114 hitting percentage for the match.
Defensively,
Makayla Bradford led the Golden Eagles with 19 digs. She added one ace. Briana Barta led the CSI setters with 17 assists.Â
The Golden Eagles travel to Salt Lake Friday for a huge contest. Both teams are undefeated in league play at 4-0. CSI is ranked second and Salt Lake enters the contest ranked fourth.
