TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team set the all-time scoring game record, beating Colorado Northwestern 133-64 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The previous record of 132 points came against the Nevada All Stars Dec. 27, 2005.
The Golden Eagles shot a blistering 65 percent from the field, which is also a team record.
Jane Nelson led CSI with 29 points. The sophomore went 12-for-13 from the field and added two free throws. She also had four rebounds and two assists.Â
Guards
Kaela McClure and
Sydney Clark combined for 19 points and 19 assists.
Chesney Campbell was solid inside for the Golden Eagles. She finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and six steals.
Other CSI players scoring in double figures included
Mallory Lapoole with 15 and
Ka'Maree Donald with 12.
The Golden Eagles posted 32 assists and 55 rebounds in the lopsided victory.
CSI, now 19-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play, take on Salt Lake Thursday.
