LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The eighth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team coasted to two more wins Saturday in the Southern Nevada Tournament, beating #13 Arizona Western 26-24, 25-11, 25-20 and Chandler-Gilbert 25-11, 25-12, 25-16.
With the two wins Saturday, CSI improves to 4-0.
Against Arizona Western
Shiloh Peleras dominated at the net. The middle blocker finished with 12 kills and no errors in 16 attempts. She added two blocks. Jojo Kruize added 11 kills and eight digs. Two Golden Eagles posted double-digit digs. Airi Miyabe finished with 11 and
Makayla Bradford added 10.
Morgan Weatherwax had 24 assists and eight digs for CSI.
Against Chandler-Gilbert CSI spread the wealth throughout 16 players.
Maysie Rongen led the way with nine kills and three blocks.
Ivana Trencheva added seven kills and
Jovana Vukcevic and E'laisah each had six.
Lacey McEwan had a solid game all the way around, finishing with seven kills and eight digs.
Elle Nesbitt and Weatherwax combined for 36 assists and 15 digs, while Bradford had eight digs.
The Golden Eagles travel to Blue Mountain CC Wednesday before playing Friday and Saturday in the Salt Lake CC Tournament.
