TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Softball team dominated at the plate and in the circle Tuesday to run rule Treasure Valley 14-0 and 17-1 Tuesday in non-conference play.
The Golden Eagles hit five home runs, three triples and four doubles in the two games.
Leading the way offensively was
Erin Emanuel. The sophomore shortstop was 5-5 with a home run, three triples and seven RBI.
Nicole Renner finished 6-for-7 with a home run and two RBI, while
Katie Basinger was 2-for-2 with a home run and 3 RBI.
Shelby McKinnon highlighted the home runs with a grand slam.
In the circle, both Golden Eagle pitchers were sharp.
Samantha Riesen won game one, giving up two hits with four strikeouts.
Stefani Zimmerman earned the game two win, giving up two hits with four strikeouts and one earned run.
CSI, now 33-15 overall, hosts USU Eastern Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at noon for doubleheaders.
