PRICE, Utah - For the first time in the history of CSI Softball, the Golden Eagles played USU Eastern, taking both wins 9-4 and 8-4.
The Eagles from Price added softball and are competing for the first time this season in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
Minus one inning in each game, CSI dominated in the circle.
Stephanie Zimmerman earned the win in game one, giving up just four hits with four strikeouts. In game two, it was
Samantha Riesen getting the win. She finished with eight strikeouts and gave up five hits.
The Golden Eagles hit four home runs on the day.
Katie Basinger and
Sarah Phillips hit home runs in game one, while
Erin Emanuel and
Jaici Bishop hit home runs in game two.
Shelby McKinnon finished game one 2-for-2 with two walks. In the second game, Emanuel was 2-for-2 with 3 RBI.
