TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball team beat USU Eastern 4-2 and 7-2 Friday to take the series in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
After losing game one to the Eagles Thursday, the Golden Eagles won three straight to improve to 7-5 in league play.
Colton Westfall pitched game one, giving up just five hits. He struck out eight in the complete game performance.
At the plate,
Colin Gordon finished 2-for-3 with one RBI and a triple.
Daniel Nist was 2-for-3.
The Golden Eagles had another solid pitching performance, this time from
Jordan Ragan who pitched 6.1 innings and gave up just three hits and one earned run with three strikeouts. Four other CSI pitchers threw in the game but Ragan earned the win.
Cody Barkdull went 3-for-4 at the plate, while
Trevor Lippard was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI.
CSI, now 17-15 overall, travel to Southern Nevada Friday and Saturday.
