TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team and Snow College were tied for second entering Thursday night's game. But the Golden Eagles defeated the Badgers 62-49 to take over sole possession.
CSI started slow, trailing 13-12 after the first quarter but a huge second quarter put the Eagles up to stay. CSI led by as much as 22 points in the second half and controlled the last three quarters.
Tiena Afu led CSI with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Brianna Osorio added 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals.
Tori Anderson scored 10 points for the Golden Eagles while
Ariel Augustine had 10 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles, now 17-10 overall and 8-5 in SWAC play, host Colorado Northwestern Saturday at 3 p.m.
