CSI lost the battle of the boards 41-29 but forced Salt Lake into 18 turnovers compared to 14 for the Golden Eagles.
Brianna Osorio paced CSI with 17 points, six steals, three rebounds and two assists.
Ariel Augustine added 16 points and six rebounds.
CSI, 16-10 overall and 7-5 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play, host Snow College Thursday and Colorado Northwestern CC Saturday.
