PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team was riding a 3-game win streak, including a victory over USU Eastern the end of January, but it was snapped Thursday when the Golden Eagles fell to the Eagles 75-68 in Price.
USU Eastern won the rebounding battle and knocked down a lot of free throws, which proved to be the difference.
CSI was 14-for-23 from the line. USU Eastern finished the game 30-of-40.
Brianna Osorio led the Golden Eagles with 20 points, three assists and four steals.
Ariel Augustine added 13 points and eight rebounds, while
Anna Jofresa scored 10 points.
Chesney Campbell had a solid night, finishing with five points and six rebounds.
CSI, now 16-9 overall and 7-4 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play, hosts league-leading Salt Lake CC at 3 p.m. Saturday.
