SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The 9th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team improved to 10-1 overall with a 88-77 victory over Portland CC in the Salt Lake Invitational Friday.
Four Golden Eagle players scored in double digits in a game where Portland challenged a few times but never led.
Charles Jones Jr. led CSI with 21 points, three rebounds and three assists. Even more impressive was that the guard had no turnovers. Danya Kingsby added 20 points, five assists and two rebounds. 
Big men Khalid Thomas and Tommy Burton combined for 24 points and 15 rebounds. Their inside presence was big as the Golden Eagles only made six 3-pointers, shooting 35 percent from long range. Coming into this game CSI was averaging 14 3-pointers per game at 43 percent from beyond the arc.
CSI takes on Rexburg United at 3 p.m. Saturday.
