TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 15th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball had little trouble getting past non-conference opponent Treasure Valley Tuesday, beating the Chukars 108-58.
Six Golden Eagle players finished the game in double-digit scoring, led by last week's SWAC Player of the Week
Jamie Nielson. Nielson posted 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field. She added five rebounds.
Mallory Lapoole finished with 14, whilte
Katie Hughes added eight. Hughes also had five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Her sister Meghan also had a solid game with eight points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals.
Brooke Haney,
Tiena Afu and
Ka'Maree Donald all had 10 points.
The Golden Eagles forced 31 turnovers and used a stifling defense to keep TVCC's field goal percentage at 32.4 percent. CSI shot 51 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc, knocking down 12 3-pointers.
CSI travels to Salt Lake Friday for a tournament.
