MESA, Ariz. - The ninth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team improved to 16-2 overall by beating Mesa 85-52, one day after notching its second loss of the year.
With the win, the Golden Eagles finished the Fiesta Bowl Shootout in third.
The Golden Eagles had five players finish with double-digit scoring, led by
Danya Kingsby's 13.
Tommy Burton,
Jake Hendricks and
Telly Davenport all added 12 points, while
Roberto Gittens posted 11.
The only CSI player with more than 10 rebounds was Malik Porter, who had 11.
Kingsby had four assists as did point guard Nico Aguirre Urritia. Aguirre Urritia was the second leading rebounder with six.
The Golden Eagles return home to open conference play Saturday at 5 p.m. against Snow College.
