TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team didn't set the scoring records it did Friday night, but the Golden Eagles still shot their way to a 120-106 win over Western Wyoming Saturday in the Coca-Cola Invitational.
CSI knocked down 20 3-pointers to tie Friday's record for most 3-pointers in the game. The Golden Eagles shot 55 percent from the field but an even better 61 percent from beyond the arc.
Charles Jones Jr. scored 42 points to lead all scorers, making 8-of-12 from long range.
Jake Hendricks and
Keegan Hansen also had hot hands. Hendricks scored 26 points, including six 3-pointers and Hansen finished with 12, going 4-for-4 from 3-point range.
No CSI player reached double digits in rebounds but both
Roche Grootfaam an
Khalid Thomas came close with nine. Hendricks and
Malik Porter each added eight.
Not only did Jones Jr. score 42 points, but he added eight assists.
The Golden Eagles travel to Salt Lake next week for a two-day tournament.
