TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The eighth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team was on fire early, beating Blue Mountain CC 124-85.
The Golden Eagles scored 69 first-half points behind a dominant performance by
Charles Jones Jr. The sophomore guard finished the first half with 31 points on 12-of-14 from the field and 6-of-7 from beyond the arc.
Jake Hendricks also had the hot hand, scoring 14 points in the first half with four 3-pointers.
The Golden Eagles outscored the Timberwolves in the second half but cooled off just a little bit. CSI still finished the game shooting 62 percent from the field.
Jones Jr. ended the game with 36 points. Hendricks had 18.
Danya Kingsby led the Eagles in assists with 10.
Khalid Thomas posted a 10-point, eight-rebound performance.
CSI, now 12-1 overall, plays Laramie County at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Laramie County fell to Snow 81-72 in the earlier game Friday.
