TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 24th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team improved to 8-1 with a 106-62 victory over Lethbridge Friday in the Coca-Cola Invitational.
Mallory Lapoole and
Tiena Afu dominated early helping CSI out to an early lead. The Golden Eagles shot close to 70 percent in the first quarter, putting up 32 points. They never looked back.
Lapoole finished the game with 23 points, while Afu had 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Jamie Nielson came off the bench to hit 10-of-12 shots and score 23 points.
The Golden Eagles distributed the ball well, posting 27 assists. The defense was just as impressive, forcing 35 turnovers.
CSI plays Chemeketa CC Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Earlier Friday, Chemeketa lost to Salt Lake 114-58.
