MESA, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team lost for the first time this season, falling to Cochise 65-58 Saturday.
With the loss, the Golden Eagles move to 4-1.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 17-12 lead after the first quarter and trailed by just three points after the third quarter but struggled to get shots to fall in the fourth and couldn't come back.
Tiena Afu led CSI with 20 points and eight rebounds. Mallory Lapoole added 13 points and three rebounds. Ka'Maree Donald came off the bench to finish with three points and six assists.Meghan Hughes had another solid game, posting eight points, three rebounds and three assists.
CSI travels to Western Wyoming Tuesday to play its only game of the week.
