TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team came out on fire Thursday against Snow College, ultimately taking the 75-47 win over the Badgers in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
The Golden Eagles made nine of their first 10 shots, finishing the first quarter with 25 points. On the defensive end, CSI held Snow to just six first-quarter points and 15 percent from the field.
CSI extended its lead in the second quarter, outscoring Snow 13-6 and taking the 38-12 lead into the locker room at the half.
Tori Anderson was on fire from beyond the arc, knocking down 4-of-6 from 3-point range. She finished the game with 16 points and added three rebounds and three assists.
Tiena Afu and
Ariel Augustine proved to be too much on the inside for the Badgers. Both finished with a double-double. Afu had 10 points and 13 rebounds and Augustine had 18 points and 11 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles, now 11-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play, host USU Eastern Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
