EPHRAIM, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team knocked down 16-of-16 free throws in the fourth quarter to beat Snow College 75-68 Tuesday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles trailed by as much as nine points in the second quarter before CSI closed it to four going into the locker room at the half. Neither team could get much going in the third quarter but CSI was able to outscore Snow 15-8 to lead by three going into the final quarter and then scored 32 points in the fourth to preserve the win.
Keying the offensive attack was
Brianna Osorio. The sophomore guard finished with 29 points, including 13-of-15 from the free throw line. She added six steals, three rebounds and three assists.
Ariel Augustine added 14 points and eight rebounds. Guards
Jane Nelson and
Meghan Hughes also posted solid performances. Nelson finished with 12 points and Hughes had seven. Both had two rebounds and two assists apiece.
With the win, CSI improves to 15-8 overall and 6-3 in league play. The Golden Eagles travel to Colorado Northwestern Thursday.
