TWIN FALLS, Idaho -
Jake Hendricks sparked the College of Southern Idaho Tuesday, leading the Golden Eagles past Colorado Northwestern CC 96-76 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Hendricks knocked down six 3-pointers, finishing with a team-high 21 points. He added four rebounds, two assists and three steals.
The Golden Eagles struggled to find consistency early, allowing CNCC to out-rebound them 18-8 seven minutes into the game. But a spirited time-out talk by CSI Head Coach
Jared Phay increased the energy and by game's end the Golden Eagles had 57 rebounds compared to 39 for CNCC.
Jonathan Nwankwo dominated the boards, finishing with 13 rebounds along with eight points. In just 12 minutes,
Mubarak Muhammed had eight rebounds and six points.
Other players in double figures included
Casdon Jardine with 13 points and
Charles Jones Jr. with 11 points. Jones also had seven rebounds.
One of the highlight performances of the night came from
Deishuan Booker. The guard finished with 13 assists, eight points, six steals and three rebounds.
The Golden Eagles, now 14-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play, host Snow College Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
