HENDERSON, Nev. - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho fired on all cylinders Thursday, dominating the College of Southern Nevada 25-13, 25-20, 25-13 to open Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
For the match, the Golden Eagles hit an amazing .406, finishing with just 10 attack errors and 51 kills.
Several individuals stood out.
Ashelyn Jones led the Eagles with 14 kills and just one error on 19 attempts for a .684 hitting percentage. She added three blocks. Teammate
Alycia Wodke had 11 kills with no errors along with 14 digs, 11 service points and no reception errors. Middle blocker
Shiloh Peleras finished the match with 11 kills and three blocks.
Setter
Marija Djonovic had a solid game, polsting 48 assists to go with five digs.
The Golden Eagles did not have a reception error in the match and outblocked Souther Nevada 8-2. CSI also held the Coyotes to a .129 hitting percentage.
CSI travels to 10th-ranked Snow College Saturday at 1 p.m. It will be a matchup of two unbeatens as the Badgers defeated Salt Lake Thursday 3-1.
