TWIN FALLS - The 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball team gave up four runs in the first inning against 5th-ranked Salt Lake and never recovered, falling to the Bruins 6-2 Thursday in the undefeated game of the Region 18 Tournament.
The first inning was a combination of hits and CSI errors giving Salt Lake two earned runs and two unearned. Salt Lake added two in the fourth.Â
The Golden Eagles rallied in the fifth when

Sarah Phillips homered. But that was as close at CSI would get.
CSI did have a bright spot when

The Golden Eagles will play Snow Friday at 11:30 a.m. The winner will advance to the championship at 1:30 p.m. against Salt Lake.
