HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Softball team gave up a five-run lead in the seventh inning to lose 11-10 in game one Friday against Southern Nevada but bounced back to shut out the Coyotes 7-0 in game two.
There was no shortage of hits in game one as the two teams combined for 30 hits. Leading the way for CSI was
Cassidy Basinger. The sophomore finished 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI.
Madi Ford was 2-for-3 with two walks.
In game two,
CheyAnne Dahl was nearly perfect, throwing the three-hit shutout with four strikeouts.
Shelby McKinnon finished the game 2-for-3 with a double and
Abby Toller was 1-for-2 with a triple and two RBI.
The Golden Eagles move to 20-9 overall and 11-3 in SWAC play.
