TWIN FALLS - The 18th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball team swept Treasure Valley 9-4 and 9-0 Tuesday in non-conference play Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles defense was not sharp early, as they gave Treasure Valley four unearned runs in the opener on five errors. But CSI countered with a solid offensive attack, posting 16 hits.

Abby Toller and
Cassidy Basinger all went 3-for-4 at the plate. Toller finished with three RBI.
Kelsey Christensen earned the win in the circle, giving up no earned runs on six hits with five strikeouts.
CSI picked up its defensive effort in game two, finishing with no errors.
CheyAnne Dahl dominated in the circle, throwing a 1-hit shutout through four innings with seven strikeouts.
Samantha Riesen pitched the final inning, keeping the shutout intact.
The Golden Eagles finished the run rule with six hits, doing most of their damage in the first inning. With two outs, CSI scored five runs in the first. Erin Emmanuel started the rally with a walk.
Savannah Kirkpatrick followed with a single to left field.
Cassidy Basinger added an rbi single before
Haylee Eskelson singled to the right side and the ball got past the right fielder to score Kirkpatrick and Basinger. A Treasure Valley error and a couple wild pitches brought in the final runs of the inning.
CSI added two runs in the second and the fourth.
Kirkpatrick ended the game 2-for-2 with two RBI and Emanuel was 1-for-1 with two RBI.Â
The Golden Eagles, now 9-6, host Western Nevada Friday and Saturday.
