TWIN FALLS - In the Golden Eagle Baseball's final weekend to ready for their Region 18 schedule, CSI dominated Boise State University Club 16-4 and 13-2 Saturday at Jim Walker Field.
With the wins, CSI improves to 15-2 overall.
The Golden Eagles scored 10 runs in the third inning of the first game to pull away early.
Jackson Kunz finished 3-for-4 at the plate with six RBI. On the mound,
Alec West-Guillen earned the win, going five innings and giving up just four hits and one earned run with 11 strikeouts. Alex perron pitched two innings in relief, giving up one run on one hit and two strikeouts.
In game two, the Golden Eagles put 16 hits on the board.
Ryan Beard led the way, going 4-for-4 with three RBI and a home run.
Cole Walters was 3-for-4 with four RBI. Waler finished with two doubles.
Parker Loutensock earned the win on the mound, going four innings and giving up four hits and one earned run with six strikeouts. In relief,
Spencer Johnson and
Jake Nelson combined to give up no runs on no hits with four strikeouts in three innings.
CSI travels to Carson City, Nev. next week to play Western Nevada College.
