TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball team continues to roll, beating Utah State University Club 12-0 and 12-8 Friday in non-conference action.
With the wins, the Golden Eagles improve to 11-2 overall.
In the first game, the CSI pitchers were almost untouchable, combining to throw a one-hit shut out.
Ryan Beard earned the win for the Golden Eagles, going 4.0 innings, giving up no hits with eight strikeouts.
Tyler Rosas went 2.0 innings, giving up one hit with three strikeouts and
Jeremy Speth pitched the final inning, giving up no hits.
Offensively,
Cody Schmidt was 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and a home run.
Kody Garvin was 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In game two, the Golden Eagles were tied through four innings before a big four-run fifth inning helped them get on top to stay.
Cody Bardull earned the win, pitching the final three innings, giving up one unearned run on one hit and seven strikeouts.
Garvin finished his solid day, going 4-for-4 with five RBI.
CSI hosts Boise State University Club at noon and 2 p.m. Saturday.
