TWIN FALLS - After 29 games it came down to the final regular season contest between Salt Lake CC and the College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team for the two seed in the Region 18 Tournament next week. The Golden Eagles shot lights out from long range to beat the Bruins 92-80 and earn that two seed.
In the first half, CSI knocked down 11 3-pointers en route to a 55-37 half-time lead. The Bruins countered with seven 3-pointers in the second half to close within one point with just over 10 minutes to play. But the Golden Eagles settled down and began to build their lead again.
CSI hit six 3-pointers in the second half to finish the game 17-of-31. Leading the way was 
EJ Boyce (6-of-9) and 
Ar'Mond Davis (6-of-10).
Shaq Carr finished with a double-double (19 points, 12 assists). Davis scored 21 points and 
EJ Boyce added 18. 
Pape Diatta had a solid game scoring 20 points to go with eight rebounds.
CSI, 22-8 overall and 10-5 in SWAC play, will play the winner of Salt Lake and Colorado Northwestern Friday at 2 p.m. in the second round of the Region 18 Tournament at the CSI Gymnasium.
