TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball team is off to a 9-2 start this season but Prairie Baseball Academy didn't make it easy on the Golden Eagles Saturday as CSI went extra innings twice to beat Prairie 3-2 in 10 innings and 7-6 in eight innings.
In the opener, the Golden Eagles were out-hit by Prairie 8-5 for the game. But with the score tied at 2 heading into the bottom of the 10th, CSI took advantage of three Prairie errors and a Golden hit to get the win.

Jake Boyd reached on an error by the shortstop.
Joey Rossi followed with a single before
Cody Schmidt loaded the bases on an error by the first baseman.
Jackson Kunz plated the winning run when he reached base on a throwing error by the Prairie second baseman to give CSI the win.
Alex Perron earned the win for the Golden Eagles pitching the last 2.1 innings, giving up just one hit with four strikeouts.
In game two, Prairie jumped out to the 6-1 lead through four innings. But the Golden Eagles tied it up with five runs in the fifth on six hits and a Prairie error.
The Golden Eagles biggest run came in the bottom of the eighth. With two outs,
Blake Sanchez earned a pitch-hit single.
Braydon Torres-Moore followed with a hit by pitch and then Rossi walked to load the bases.
Cole Walters came through next with the walk-off rbi single.
CSI finished the game with 14 hits. Rossi was 3-for-3 with two walks,
Mason Hayes finished 3-for-4 with two rbi, while Torres-Moore was 2-for-3 with one rbi.
Spencer Johnson earned the win on the mound, pitching the last three innings. He gave up just one hit with three strikeouts and no walks.
The Golden Eagles host Utah State Club at 1 p.m. Friday and Boise State University Club at Noon on Saturday.
