HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball team rallied from behind to beat Okanagan Wednesday 5-4 in Henderson, Nev.
Down 4-2 heading into the bottom of the ninth, the Golden Eagles started off with a strikeout. But
Jake Boyd started the CSI rally with a single to left field.
Jackson Kunz followed with a pinch hit single to left field. After
Joey Rossi was hit by pitch to load the bases,
Cole Walters laced a shot down the left-field line scoring two runs to tie the game.
Blake Sanchez wsa hit by pitch to load the bases again.
Cody Schmidt knocked in the game-winning rbi on a sacrifice fly to left field to score
Joey Rossi and give CSI the win.
Cole Skinner earned the win on the mound for the Golden Eagles, pitching the last two innings, giving up no hits and no runs.
Ryan Beard started the game, going 5.0 innings, giving up four hits with five strikeouts and two earned runs.
Tyler Rosas threw the sixth and seventh, giving up one earned run.
CSI, now 3-2 overall, plays Okanagan Thursday at 3 p.m. MST.
