SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team avenged its final loss of the 2015-16 season Friday, beating 7th-ranked New Mexico Junior College 83-79 in the Salt Lake CC Tournament.
Last season, New Mexico JC kept CSI out of the top 4 at the NJCAA National Tournament. Friday, the Golden Eagles came out on top behind amazing performances by Tiena Afu and Brianna Osorio.
Osorio finished the game with 21 points, seven assists, nine rebounds and three steals. Afu added 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Other CSI players scoring in double figures included Chesney Campbell with 13 points and Ariel Augustine with 11 points.
With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 7-4 and have won their last six games.
