TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team handed Gillette its first loss of the season Saturday 106-87 in the Wright Physical Therapy/Idaho Central Credit Union Tournament.
The Golden Eagles were in a battle early with Gillette taking a seven-point lead two minutes into the game. The Pronghorns led a total of eight minutes in the first half before Deishuan Booker and Jonathan Nwankwo took over the game. Booker, who played for Gillette last season, had 10 points and seven assists by halftime. Nwankwo had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds giving CSI the 56-42 lead heading into the locker room. 
They didn't stop there, Booker finished the game with 22 points, 13 assists and six rebounds. Nwankwo had 15 points and 13 rebounds.
The Golden Eagles extended their lead after the break behind a 52 percent field goal percentage.
For the game, CSI out-rebounded Gillette 49-38 on the night.
Other standouts for CSI included Charles Jones Jr. with 19 points and Tommy Burtonn with 12 points and nine rebounds. Casdon Jardine added eight points, six rebounds and three assists.
The Golden Eagles, now 10-1 overall, travel to Ontario, Ore. next weekend for the Treasure Valley Tournament.
