TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team won its third straight game, defeating Chemeketa CC Friday 88-62 in the Wright Physical Therapy/Idaho Central Credit Union Tournament.
The Golden Eagles offense was fueled by their defense all game. CSI forced 24 turnovers for the game, out-rebounded Chemeketa 45-35 and held the Storm to 34 percent shooting from the field.
Offensively, CSI knocked down nine 3-pointers and scored 42 points in the paint to run away with the game. The Golden Eagle bench scored 51 of CSI's 88 points.
Tori Anderson led the Eagles with 18 points, knocking down six 3-pointers.
Chesney Campbell added 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Brianna Osorio was the only other Golden Eagle in double-figure scoring, finishing with 11 points. She also had three rebounds, five assists and five steals.
CSI's leading rebounder was
Ariel Augustine with seven rebounds. She also scored eight points.
The Golden Eagles improve to 5-4 on the season. They play Williston State Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Earlier on Friday, Williston lost to Salt Lake CC 81-28.
