TWIN FALLS - Sophomore Tori Anderson knocked down a jumper with 24 seconds to go in overtime to lead the College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team past Western Wyoming 67-64 Monday.
Anderson's basket put CSI up 66-64 before Briana Osorio made one-of-two free throws with 2 seconds left on the clock for the final margin.
Early on the Golden Eagles struggled from the field, trailing by two with two minutes to go in the first half and never led again until Osorio scored off a steal with 1:29 to go in the game to put CSI up 58-57. She extended the lead with just under a minute to go on two free throws. But Western Wyoming's Lexi Smith scored from beyond the arc to tie the game and neither team could find the basket again in regulation.
CSI led most of the overtime until Western Wyoming tied it up at the 1:19 mark. That's when Anderson scored on what would eventually be the game winner.
Osorio led the Eagles with 16 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals. Tiena Afu added 11 points and 12 rebounds. Anderson finished the game with seven points and five rebounds, while Ariel Augustine had eight points and eight rebounds.
CSI shot just 30 percent from the field compared to 38 percent for Western Wyoming.
The Golden Eagles host the Coca Cola Tournament Friday and Saturday.
