TWIN FALLS - Treasure Valley CC gave the College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball all it wanted for 20 minutes but the Golden Eagles came out from the locker room with the hot hand, beating the Chukars 107-76 in the final night of the Hilex Poly Invitational.
The Golden Eagles shot close to 50 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc in the second half, outscoring Treasure Valley 58-35.
CSI's
Jake Hendricks led the way with five 3-pointers.
Austin Starr added three and
Aushanti Potts Woods had two.
The Golden Eagle bench outscored Treasure Valley 62-30 and out-rebounded the Chukars 55-45.
Deishuan Booker had a solid night for CSI, finishing with eight points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Golden Eagles in double-figure scoring included Starr and
Charles Jones Jr. with 15 apiece and Hendricks with 17. Every CSI player scored.
CSI, now 7-1 overall, hosts the Wright Physical Therapy/Idaho Central Credit Union Tournament Friday and Saturday.
