TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team posted its first loss of the season, falling to Trinity Valley 71-56 Saturday in the Coca Cola Tournament.
The Golden Eagles trailed after the first quarter 14-9 but battled back to within one at the half. The Cardinals jumped back on top in the third quarter and CSI couldn't recover.
Trinity Valley was too much inside for the Golden Eagles, outscoring CSI 50-16. Trinity Valley also scored 33 points off turnovers compared to nine for CSI.
Brianna Osorio finished the game with a double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 10 rebounds along with five assists. Other double-digit scorers included
Tori Anderson with 14 and
Jane Nelson with 12.
The Golden Eagles, now 2-1 overall, go on the road next weekend.
