TWIN FALLS - The eighth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team rolled past Athleticz Allianz Friday 79-60 in the opening night of the Coca Cola Tournament.
In the earlier game, #2 Trinity Valley beat Sheridan College 87-54, setting up a top-10 showdown Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The Golden Eagles never trailed Friday, evenly distributing scoring and playing time throughout the 15-player lineup.
Jane Nelson led the Eagles with 17 points. She added three rebounds and three steals. The only other CSI player in double figures was
Brianna Osorio with 13 points along with five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Leading rebounder for the night was
Abbie Povey with nine. She also scored five points.
With the win, CSI improves to 2-0.
