TWIN FALLS - A 3-point shot at the buzzer by the College of Southern Idaho women rolled around the rim and fell off as Snow beat CSI 62-60 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles struggled all night to get shots to drop, especially from the free-throw line where they were 11-of-19 for 58 percent. The Badgers did not, connecting on 87 percent from the free-throw line.
CSI beat Snow on the boards, finished with more steals and less turnovers but the only thing that mattered was the final score. With the loss, the Golden Eagles remain in first place in the SWAC but drop to 19-1 overall and 4-1 in league play.
Briana Osorio led CSI with 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals. Kandiss Barber added 12 points, 13 rebounds and three assists.
The Golden Eagles host North Idaho College Saturday at 3 p.m.
