TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho looked like it might be able to hand North Idaho its first loss of the season Saturday, but the Cardinals got hot from beyond the arc and pulled away late to beat CSI 84-71 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
CSI trailed by eight points at the half and cut it to 75-69 with 3:52 left in the game. But could get no closer.
The Cardinals managed just two 3-pointers in the first half, shooting 18 percent from long distance. That changed in the second half, as they went 7-for-14.
Four CSI players scored in double digits led by
Shaq Carr's 13. He added six assists.
Gloire Biongo and
UC Iroegbu each added 12 and
Pape Diatta finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
CSI, now 15-6 overall and 3-3 in SWAC play, host USU Eastern on Thursday and Colorado Northwestern CC on Saturday.
