ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. - The second-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team used different lineups all day Saturday to take two more wins in the Western Wyoming Tournament. The Golden Eagles swept Sheridan 25-18, 25-23 and 25-15 in the opener before beating Northeastern Junior College 25-20, 25-20, 25-15.
After being a key component to CSI's wins over the No. 1 and No. 3 teams in the nation on Friday, freshman
Alycia Wodke continued to shine on Saturday.
Against Sheridan, she was the only Golden Eagle in double digits kills with 11. She added 17 digs, the most on the team. Other bright spots included
Larissa Dos Santos with eight kills and two blocks.
Micquel Blattner added 11 digs for CSI. The assists were evenly distributed between
Regan Harr with 15 and
Marija Djonovic with 16.
In the Northeastern match,
Alexandra Espinosa finished with 10 kills and six digs.
Tawnee Luafalemana added seven kills and six blocks. Wodke led CSI in digs with eight to go with six kills and two blocks.
The Golden Eagles, 4-0, travel to Salt Lake CC next weekend for four matches.
