TWIN FALLS - College of Southern Idaho baseball's
Cody Jenkins roped a shot into left center with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Golden Eagles the 3-2 win over Western Nevada Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
CSI's
Dugan Shirer led off the bottom of the 10th with a single to left field. The ball got by the left fielder and Shirer advanced to second. Western Nevada inentionally walked
Joey Rossi. A wild pitch advanced both runner before Western Nevada intentionally walked
Ethan Ibarra to load the bases with no outs.
Reliever Connor Zwetsch got the next two CSI hitters to strike out before Jenkins laced the game-winner into the outfield for the win.
Tyler Burdett earned the win for the Golden Eagles, pitching the final two innings and giving up one hits with two strikeouts.
Zack Draper started the game for CSI and pitched well, finishing his outing with just six hits, one earned run and four strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles host Western Nevada for a doubleheader Saturday, starting at 1 p.m.
