TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho baseball team spotted Colorado NW eight runs in the first inning and couldn't come back, falling to the Spartans 9-3 Saturday in a nine-inning Scenic West Athletic Conference game.
The Golden Eagles went through six pitchers and three in the first inning before settling down.Â
Cody Jenkins finished the game 2-for-4 with 1 RBI.
Cole Walters was 1-for-4 with two RBI.
Joey Rossi was 2-for-3.
The last four pitchers for CSI - Damen Jones,
Braxton Deveraux,
Parker Loutensock and
Tyler Burdett combined to give up just 7 hits and one run with seven strikeouts.
CSI, now 12-8 overall and 4-4 in conference play, hosts Treasure Valley next weekend in non-conference action.
