Makay Nelson pitched a gem for the Golden Eagle baseball team as CSI dominated College of Southern Nevada 7-0 Thursday in a single nine-inning game.
Nelson pitched 6.0 innings, giving up just two hits with 10 strikeouts.
Tyler Burdett closed the game for CSI, going 3.0 innings and giving up just one hit with three strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles got run support from
Cole Walters (2-for-5, 2 RBI) and
Nate Gardner (1-for-4, 2 RBI).
CSI did most of its damage in the fifth inning with two outs.

Quentin Marcelin loaded the bases with walks.
Ethan Ibarra singled to right to score Ramey and Jenkins. Then Walters followed with an rbi single. The final damange was done by Gardner, who singled to right field to bring in two more and give CSI the 5-0 lead.
That was enough scoring for the win but the Eagles added two more runs in the seventh for insurance.
CSI plays Southern Nevada Friday for a double header at 3 p.m. MST.
